In recognition of our 5th wedding anniversary, I present to you the Friday 5 anniversary edition. I've selected 5 of the songs that immediately make me think of Lord Hill every time I hear them.
Lord Hill would play this song for me over the phone back before we were even dating. Amazingly sweet and romantic, this song will always have a special place in my heart.
This is another song that Lord Hill would play for me.

It's so easy to sit around and feel sorry for yourself. To sit and say "oh my, I'm so tired, work is kicking my butt, I have no time for my friends, I have no time to cook, I have no time to go see my mom. Wah, whoa is me"
I would like to take a minute and say that I am truly blessed.
2010 was a really hard year for me. My mom's cancer, losing my job, losing Tango, family drama, dealing with fibromyalgia... you name it, it sucked.
I really let it get to me. I got to the point where I just couldn't take any more, had a major panic attack and almost ended up back in the hospital because of it.
2011 is going to be different. My mom still has cancer, I still miss Tango, and I'm still bitter about what happened at my last job. The difference will be with me, and how I respond and react to my life. 2011 is going to be about positive attitudes.
Thank God, I have a job.
Thank God, I have friends. Great friends. This might be the first time in my life when I can actually say that and mean it.
Thank God, I have food in my fridge and do not need to go hungry.
Thank God, my mom is still here. I am so grateful for every minute that God gives me with her.
Thank God, I have family that loves me. Drama or not, I never have to question whether I am loved.
Thank God for my daddy. He is my rock.
Thank God for giving me the years I had with Tango. For letting me help him know what it felt like to be loved. For giving me a little ball of unconditional love in return. For teaching me patience. For bringing me to a point in my life where I would get Jasmine.
Thank God for Jasmine. Without her, I may never have gotten out of my funk last year. She has given me a reason to get out of bed every morning.
Thank God for Petey and Bella and McDuff. My children. Fur, or feathers, paws, or claws, my loves.
Thank God, for Disney World. For at least 8 days a year I get to just be. I get to live in my fantasy land, and be the Princess I know I am, see the world, and be a kid again.
Thank God for my amazing husband, who can always make me laugh, and makes me feel like a princess every single day.

The other day I worked really hard to get this place in tip top shape. I mopped all the floors, cleaned the walls, wiped down the couch and all that good stuff... I was exhausted.
Lord Hill cooked dinner, did the dishes and then SHINED MY SINK.
He even put the towels in their pretty little spot that says "hey, this sink is shiny, don't leave stuff in it"
I felt loved, supported, and relieved that I did not have to do it and went to bed stress free.

Lord Hill and I are venturing out east for the weekend to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. It will be a relaxing weekend with antiquing, fine dining, and the company of the man I love and our dog. Life doesn't get much better than this.
Hopefully I will return with fabulous stories and photographs.

So, this week has been rather busy which would account for the lack of updates. I am proud to announce that my desk has stayed clean for an entire week. I did not need to clean it or even put "clean desk" on my to do list this week. This is a HUGE accomplishment for me.
I also managed to keep my purse clean, neat, and organized and did not have to do a clean out this week.
The living room got a cleaning, table cleared (damn hot spots) floor vacuumed(along with a carpet cleaner/deodorizing treatment mmm), shelves and tv dusted, pillows and cushions fluffed and all of the fliers and papers organized and thrown out. WOO HOO!
The bathroom got a full cleaning as well. Floors, mirrors, toilet and I even polished the fixtures and accessories. It's nice and sparkly in there now.
----- I only went to the gym once this past week. Not good. HOWEVER it was one time more than last week so that's a plus.
I bought a dress for our anniversary ( I can't believe it'll be 2 years in weeks. Time flies!) and get this... it's off the rack... and it FITS. This may not seem like a big deal to most people, but when I add that I got it in the JUNIORS department it's just amazing. My measurements make dress shopping a living hell in general. It's a dress I tried on a few months ago, actually it's not THE dress I tried on b/c the colors are diff but it's the same basic style and the same designer. The dress I tried on last time was a size higher and was too small... now the size down is PERFECT. I didn't have to struggle to zip it or anything. I was ecstatic to say the least.
The good clothes shopping gods didn't stop there... oh no. I also got a sweet TMNT hoodie in a MEDIUM with a gift card so it didn't even cost me anything. Did you see what I just wrote? A MEDIUM.
I need to take a minute and talk about my wonderful hubby. He knows that I am trying to follow the Flylady.net program and has been so supportive that he has even started to help with the routines!
He makes sure the sink is shiny when he's done using it, he's been clearing off the table consistantly to the point where he found part of his valentine's day present, and has even been cleaning out the bathroom sink after he shaves.
He's the best and I just wanted to share that with all of you.
What little thing does your significant other do that makes you feel loved?
The Story of how we met is one as old as time. Once upon a time there was a Fair Skinned Princess and a Young Naive Knight. One day they met at a palace(Nassau Community College) dance(Dance Class). After that fateful day all the Young Knight could think of was the Princess. Her smile, her laugh, everything that she was clouded his thoughts. As time passed the Knight wondered if they were to ever see each other again. As any good fairy tale goes, they did. Brought together by Sir Bob of Einenkel(our acting teacher) the two’s connection grew stronger. But dark times arose in the form of a Black Knight from the North. It turns out that he had claimed the Princess as his betrothed and stole her away to his castle. The land met with despair and torment. The Young Knights spirits slowly withered. Not knowing what happened to his princess or if she would ever return he tried to go on without her, to his dismay. After almost a year of separation Sir Bob of Einenkel approached the Knight with a proposal. It seemed that one of the squires could not perform his role in the upcoming palace production and asked the young knight to take his place. The Knight agreed. With only 8 days to prepare the Knight focused hard and studied his part. It was the night of dress rehearsal. The Young Knight was nervously prepairing himself when the Fair Princess came into the Theatre. It seemed that the Fair Princess was helping with the production. This was a shock for the Knight. Fate had brought them back together and the Knight wasn’t going to lose her again. The two quickly reconnected and became closer than ever. The Princess was able to break the Black Knights hold on her and ran off with the Young Knight. Ever since then the Princess and her Knight have been inseparable and are soon to be Wed. On March 28th 2008 The Knight will be with his Princess forever. The End
