I've fallen and I can't get up!

Well, let's make that back on track instead of fallen.

I have not only neglected my blog and my readers the past few months, I have neglected all of the good habits I formed and have given into the Lazyness once again.

Being depressed and exhausted can no longer control my life.

I want my apartment back!!

Starting Saturday, I am going to get back on track with my blog, my chores, and my healthy routines.

I hope my readers and friends will continue to be there to support me.

First goal: Have a shiny sink by bedtime Saturday.

Feels Like Forever...

I feel as though it's been forever since I posted. I miss my blog, and my readers, and the blogs I read very much but alas, I have not had the time to keep up. Between work and my fibromyalgia I just don't have the time or strength to come online at night to post for the following day.

I am going to try writing more on the weekends and then scheduling the posts so that there is at least a little something here and there. I hate how sad and lonely my blog looks these days.

I will be putting up another post right away today as a way of appologizing for being gone for so long. It's a giveaway of sorts so stay tuned.

In the meantime, please either tell me one thing you think I should know about you that I would have missed this past month, or even better, share a link to a blog post you think that I and/or all of my readers should check out.

Thankful: Job, Family, Pets, & Pie

Since I haven't been blogging as often as I was, and I'm not on twitter all day like I used to be, I have gotten a few emails from readers asking me how I'm doing and basically just checking in on me.

That means a lot to me. It's nice to know that I'm missed, especially when the internet is so expansive and there are so many things that could distract you from my absence.

Here's a quick update for you.
The reason I am not blogging or tweeting as much is because as you know, I no longer work from home. My new job is great, but it keeps me busy all day and there is no way I could get away with blogging during business hours. My coworkers are great (hello Diana) and have been really supportive since we got the news about my mom.
This brings me to the next part of my update...
My mom started her chemo treatments a few weeks ago. She is so brave, and it is so hard to watch her go through this. She inspires me every day to just do what I need to do and not to let fear hold me back. I try not to spend a lot of time at home on the computer. While it's a great distraction from the stress/pain/anxiety it's also a waste of time that I could be spending with my family.
(Not that I think this blog, or my readers are a waste of my time. I hope you know what I mean.)

Jazzy is doing well. She enjoyed her first Thanksgiving very much. TOO much, because she just had her 7 month check up and she weighed in at 8lbs 2oz! She's getting so big. She's still about half the size of Petey though. I hope she stays tiny. She wore an adorably ugly sweater on Thanksgiving. I promise to post a photo of her soon.

Well, that's all for now. Stay tuned for some amazing recipes stolen from friends and coworkers that are sure to impress your holiday guests. Can you say "mmmm pie"? After trying my recipes, trust me, you'll be saying it a lot.

Friday 5! - Update Edition

This week I'm sort of cheating. I'm going to use my Friday 5 as a way to do some quick updates since I've been MIA all week.

  1. My new job started on Monday. It's going well. The people are nice, the job is something I think I'll be good at and I enjoy being surrounded by wedding things.
  2. Jasmine is getting big. She started losing teeth and is getting her "adult" teeth in. She's friggin adorable.
  3. I am super excited to be going to Disney soon. I've been dreaming about it.
  4. I have been wearing a pair of jeans that have not fit since sometime before 2007. This excites me, a lot.
  5. I was in a car accident last week. I'm not sure if I blogged about it or not to be honest. I am still quite sore from it and I hope to get to a doctor if the pain doesn't let up soon. It's basically back/shoulder/arm/neck stiffness and pain as if I've been lifting things or working out. It's not fun.

Tuesday Quick Stop!

So much to blog about, so little time!

Okay, so first of all, I went to the gym yesterday. Go me! I did the 30 minute circuit training thing for the first time and then did another 30 mins on the bike in "personal trainer mode" WOW am I sore today. In a good way though, at least mostly.

Tonight I cooked a fabulous dinner that was quite delicious and inspired by my Cheaters Meat Pies from the other night. Pictures and recipe coming some time this week.

Lord Hill just downloaded the new DLC for Left 4 Dead 2 and I'm totally stoked. Yes, I said stoked.
Tomorrow I get to go to a Mets game with my dad. Should be super fun.
Glee tonight! GLEE! Oh man. I cannot wait till next week. One thing you should all know about me is that I am this man's biggest fan... Seriously. You have no idea how much I love him. In all his glory.
Ice Ice Baby is my ring tone, The Ninja Rap was my old ring tone. I actually own a copy of the vhs of just the Ninja Rap music video from TMNT II b/c a fabulous online friend mailed it to me. I cannot even express how exciting that day was for me. I have seen him live (recently not back in the 90's) and am one of "those" fans and kept his towel, drumstick, and water bottle after the show. I adore him. Mock me all you want, but mock him and you will face my wrath. I mean seriously, look how adorable he was, and look how sexy he's become. Mmmm. My hubby even gave me Cool As Ice as a gift one year before we were dating.
Okay...so enough about Vanilla Ice. I shall give him his own personal entry another time. This was just supposed to be a "Quick Stop" and now my keyboard is covered in drool and you're all sitting there making fun of me.
I'm now going to go and shoot zombies with my fabulous husband.  I hope you all have a good night and have sweet dreams. (As long as they aren't about MY Vanilla Ice. He's mine. Sorry ladies...and gents.)
