Think-About Thursday 09-09-10

Life is short. That's what I have learned this past month. It has not been an easy few weeks.
On Tuesday, Lord Hill, Jazzy and I were involved in a car accident. We were rear ended while stopped at a red light. Everyone is fine, I'm extremely sore, but okay. The car on the other hand is not. We won't have it for a while. Hopefully they can fix it and it's not totaled.

I was angry at first. Depressed. Very "Why do these things keep happening to me?!"
Then I realized that if the airbags had gone off, Jazzy would have been killed. If we hit the car in front of us, we could have been seriously injured. There were so many things that could have happened to make the situation so much worse and didn't that I have to stop and think... "Wow. Thank God. Someone somewhere is looking out for us."

It's easy to focus on all the negative things going on. It's sad that it takes an event like this to make me feel lucky and blessed but that's what happened. I hug my hubby a little tighter now, I play with the puppy a little more and don't get as upset when she misses the weewee pad.

Enjoy the little things. try not to focus on the scary stuff that you can't change or control.

  2. I sometimes focus on the negative too. However, I haven't had something so dreadful happen to me lately, so I don't blame you in the least.

  3. I am glad you are all okay. My teen had a wreck a couple of weeks ago and I was so thankful no one was injured.

I hope the linky helps bring in some entries! :)
