That's what spring cleaning is.
I can't tell you how much of an impact living in a clutterless (or at least less cluttered) world has had on me.
I wake up calmer and am less hesitant to get out of bed. I know I don't have to worry about tripping over anything aside from an occasional pet toy. I know that when I go to get a drink I don't have to stress about cleaning out a mug and my decluttered work space has made the work day a lot less stressful as well.
I really hope I can keep this up.
Even Lord Hill has gotten into the act. After cooking a fabulous dinner he initiated the cleanup and I gladly helped. We had everything including the dishes cleaned, dried and put away, and the sink was shined less than 20 minutes after finishing the meal.
He gets 10 points. ;-)
I want everyone to take 15 minutes out of their day tomorrow and declutter. Set a timer and just do it. You'll thank me later. I promise.
I totally need to do this. I've been putting if off. I have gotten rid of a lot of our old clothing though.

It makes life so much easier cleaning the sink right after dinner.... Once a pile of dishes start forming in the sink, it's so much easier to ignore them....
ReplyDelete@Ally - that's the one thing i have a really hard time doing. i haven't gotten rid of a single piece of clothing in years. i really need to get on that.
ReplyDelete@ASBLACKASOBAMA - it's so true! one of the only things Lord Hill and I argue about is the dishes. Can I tell you, we haven't argued about a damn thing in over a week. I definitely think the clutter and dishes have something to do with it.
