Kristin over at Kuppy Kakes by Kristin passed on this awesome award to me. I love this award b/c it's so lady like!
Now, it is my duty as a gracious award receiver, to pass this on to 9 other blogs as well as, tell you guys 7 things about me!
I love fishing but I hate the thought of hurting the fish.
Sometimes I cry when the hook gets stuck in a fish's mouth. I feel really guilty about hurting it.
I only eat fish I catch. I will only keep a fish if I will eat it. I think catch and release makes more sense than catch and give the extras to friends and family.
I am convinced that when we let the fish go all his fish friends think he's crazy when he tells them what happened. It's basically an alien abduction.
Because of my feelings as to how the other fish treat the fish we catch, I believe in aliens. They basically do to us what we do to wild animals all the time. Who are we to question what people claim to experience?
I appologize to the Freds every time I come home from fishing.
I really am as crazy as I sound in these things...
Things you need to take to the Hamptons: (can you guess what I'm doing this weekend?)
1. A fabulous "Hamptons Hat" This is mine...
2. Big sunglasses. Again, depending on where you are, designers matter.
Here is me rocking both... 3. A big purse. Depending on the Hampton your in, designer matters. This is mine.
4. Suntan Lotion
5. Your doggy!
This is Tango and I on our way home from the Hamptons. Stuck in traffic that did not move for miles.
Something that I have always felt was very important to being a Lady was formal correspondence. I have had pen-pals ever since I was a little girl. There's nothing quite like opening the mailbox to find a hand written envelope with a note from far off places. Email, facebook, and different IM features have greatly diminished the amount of "snail mail" people send and receive these days.
That makes me sad.
I am a HUGE stationary buff. I have tons of different kids. Formal, casual, childish, you name it, I have it. I am the type of person that draws and colors on the envelopes and puts stickers all over the outside before I mail a letter or card. Stationary was so important to me that I even designed and made my own wedding invitations and wedding thank yous! It took forever but was totally worth it. We still get compliments on them today.
I think every one needs to send and receive more personal, hand written mail. It brings a smile to your face when you get mail, and you know you're making someone smile when you send a letter or a card.
In fact, if any of you would like to be pen-pals, send me an email so we can swap mailing addresses.
With that said, I'd like to introduce my very first giveaway to help get all you ladies in training headed down the path to proper correspondence!
