Chachacha Changes.....

First, seeing as though my follower count has gone down here as well as on twitter, I once again want to thank those of you who have stood by me in these trying times.

Now, let's move forward and see what happens, enjoy the rest of the ride folks...

My life seems to be changing very quickly. My head is spinning, it's all a little overwhelming, okay, a LOT overwhelming for for a change, some of it is actually good.

As you know I was told a few weeks ago that I would be out of a job come September. 2 weeks ago I had an interview at a local upscale bridal salon, a week later I was offered the job. It's official, and I start September 13th. This is awesome. The wedding industry is something I have always had an interest in but had no idea how to really break in. I began to start my own wedding planning business with my cousin and we'll continue to work on that in the future, but for now this is a great step. It's not glamorous, it's emails and behind the scenes kind of things, but every day I'll get to look at gorgeous gowns and know that somehow I'm helping someone feel like a princess. I'm very excited about this.

Tango... my heart and soul aches for him all day, every day. I can't believe he's been gone for a week already. The only time I found the air to fill my lungs and the ability to stop crying was when a man handed me a tiny puppy and told me to just play with her, to find a release, to cry, to laugh, to heal. The next night, Lord Hill surprised me with her with a little red bow tied around her neck. I did not expect to be one of those people who got another pet right away. In fact, over the years I always silently judged the people who did. It wasn't until I felt a darkness, a pain, so intense, a hole that needed to be filled that I understood why/how they did what they did.
She will never take the place of my Tango. He was the light, my baby, my world. She is not here to fill his place, to replace him or even completely seal the whole that he left in my heart the night he was taken from me. She is simply here to love me, and to give me something to love.

This is my new baby girl....

I've been missing for a while...so tell me, what's new in your life?

  1. I love your baby! Look at her big puppy eyes and ears, so cute!

Our friend just lost her cat and got a new kitten. So many animals need love and homes. Your animals are so very lucky to have you and Lord Hill :)

PS Screw the people who unfollowed you. I lose a few all the time. I can't figure out who would take the time to do that. Seriously.

  2. Losing a pet is one of the hardest things. I had a dream last night that I lost my Loki...it was horrible just dreaming about it. I hate to think of the day when he goes.

Your new little girl is adorable! Hopefully she will have you laughing in no time. Though like you said she won't replace Tango, hopefully she'll be a new friend to you while reminding you of your lost one.

And congrats on your new job! It's always exciting to get into the field you want to work in.

You're in my thoughts, and I'm sending all my support and well-wishes.

  3. She is adorable! What a cutie. :)
I'm glad she's helping you. It's okay to get another pet after another passes on. It doesn't mean you're replacing, just adding to your family.
Hope you are doing well girl. Thinking of you. xoxo

  4. Super sweet! Your new puppy is so cute. I know the feeling of loosing a pet who you were so close to. I went through a very hard time the past few months with some health issues. But I am feeling great now and back to blogging. I have missed it and never new I could feel this good. Thanks for sharing!

  5. She is beautiful. No she'll never take the place of Tango in your heart, but I've learned over the past six years of losing pets, that a heart is big enough.

    What's her name?

I am so happy that you got yourself a new job and it's something you'll enjoy. Think you can help me when I get married one day? I would love that.

  11. First - my heart goes out to you and the loss of your beloved baby. I lost my beloved German Shepherd three weeks ago. I've had her since she was 12 weeks old. She was 15 and went peacefully in her sleep. I still cry when I think about it. We had her cremated and will be putting her ashes into a "Build-A-Bear" so that I will always have something to hug. We have another Shepherd who is keeping me company. I'm glad you have another baby to love and cherish. It will help with the grieving.

Visiting you from the SITS FB call out!

    Hugs!

  12. What an awesome picture! Those ears are just too cute!

We lost not one but two of our cats within six months of each other and have two gotten new critters to fill the hole left by our furkids. We still miss our babies, but having the new kids is pretty awesome and reminds us that we will be ok.

    Congrats on the new job!!!!
