The hardest thing I've ever had to do....

Tango passed away this weekend.
We brought him to the vet for a pretty standard visit, he had a recurring back problem and we just needed to get meds for him.
Things quickly went down hill.
He started having seizures and within less than 24 hours my precious baby, the center of my world, was taken from me.

I don't understand how the world is still here. How everything keeps going without him. I cannot understand, how I am supposed to find air without him.

It was almost exactly 2 years to the day we got him. He was only 5 years.
It is not fair.
I am angry. I am sad, I am lonely and incomplete without him.

I wanted to post a picture of him, but I just can't go through them right now. See one of my latest Friday 5's for 5 of my favorite photos of him. He was/is the best dog ever in the whole world and nothing will ever be the same again.

  1. Oh honey, I'm so sorry! I know how hard it is to lose someone who gives such unconditional love. I lost 2 within 5 months. It is heart wrenching. When you are strong enough read Rainbow Bridge. I won't even put you through that now, but when you can read it.
My thoughts and prayers are with you! If ya need to talk, just let me know.

  5. Kerry, sorry for your loss. It sucks to lose a friend and I know you considered him more than that. Try not to be so sad! Think of Jenny with a lemon.

  6. I can't say I know how it feels, but I can imagine. Your heart must feel like it's ripped out of your chest, because that's how I would feel.

He will be missed for sure.

  7. My heart breaks for you. It really, really does. Almost losing Willow last year left a permanent scar on my heart.

My husband still grieves over his Boxer who passed a few years ago. Pets leave paw prints all over our souls.

  9. Oh jeez, I'm so sorry to hear this. I saw your tweets over the weekend so I figured something wasn't good... Just remember that he's not in any pain or suffering anymore, and even though it hurts you so much that he's gone, he's at peace now. Remember the awesome times that you had together and his memories will live on in your heart until you can meet again. ♡ ♡

  10. I'm so sorry to hear about your dog! I lost mine in 2002 and never felt the same about another until just recently. It really does tear a hole in your heart and I know I just never thought I could feel that way about an animal.

I just started reading your blog and I really have enjoyed it :)

  11. I know I just wrote about how I don't want a pet, but I can totally see how pet owners become attached and the pet becomes another part of the family. My condolences.
